THE     DIVINING    POSTURE

The Pinnacle of This Journey

We are climbing high mountains in an endless range of glorious peaks.  At present, we are scaling Mt. Posture.  We are ministering to each other along the way, fortifying and strengthening each other. Though it is a tedious uphill journey, our hearts are filled with joyful anticipation. Ever hopeful, we are tireless, for it is promised that we shall experience the "divining posture" at the top of this magnificent rock.  From time to time, the clouds dissipate and we view the majestic summit, though most of the time it is hidden above the clouds. The vision of its snow capped peak lingers in our minds, inspiring us ever upward.
Most of the time we are singing and chattering like a flock of merry birds.  Every now and then, though, our hearts are saddened as we pass the remains of some fool hearty soul who attempted this climb alone. We are blessed to have wise men among us who made us see the necessity of our unity. We are not many, but wild things in the blackness of the night are kept at bay by our numbers.  Together, we are a force to reckon with.
We believe we have witnessed signs and miracles in what others might deem insignificant coincidences on this winding rocky path.  Most remarkably, we have come upon soul after soul lying unconscious and near death upon the boulders and have taken them into our midst.
Compelling us onward is the legend and the promise that we shall be destroyed at the top of Mt. Posture, one glorious day. Yes, destroyed and rendered anew, in the same twinkling of an eye, when we shall step into that divining stature and realize the power of the sweet Ghost Most Holy, within our own being.
Nearly two thousand years ago, there was one who made it to the top of Mt. Posture and attained that fearsome stature we all seek today.  While he was at the top of Mt. Posture, he was yet among us down below, demonstrating glorious and awesome wonders to behold. We are inspired by his promise that we, too, shall reach the top of Mt. Posture, where we shall be glorified with that same glory with which he was glorified.  O, to perform feats of excellence more astounding than he, for this was his promise.
And by faith, the elements shall obey our very words. The wind, land and sea will smite us no more, for we shall tame them and all their kin.  No pestilence in man, beast, or plant shall endure the light in our eyes, for His power will wax absolute within us.  The very air will be transformed into peace, for His peace shall gush forth abundantly from the wellsprings of our souls.   Even danger,  fear and their comrades  will be swept up and cast into the furnace of the sun.
"Come, my brothers and sisters! Gather up the young folk! Let us not tarry much longer in this camp! Look quickly, I can glimpse the lofty peak of Mt. Posture over yon treetop! Time to make tracks away from this place! Our souls have an appointment with destiny at the great transmutation! Let us get ourselves to the top of Mt. Posture!"
